West Road Wood Works

is owned and operated by James Barton, a left coast transplant who fell in love with New England  and in 2006 purchased a 42 acre wood lot in Ashfield Massachusetts. To build a home in the middle of his wood lot, James invested in the Wood-Mizer LT-40 Super Hydraulic with 47 hp diesel to create lumber from his trees.
He'll put the Wood-Mizer to work for you too. The advantage of the Wood-Mizer is that it is portable and computer controlled. James can tow the mill to you; no need to transport the logs to a mill. The Wood-Mizer is capable of cutting 36" diameter logs 21' in length. The computer set works adjusts the blade depth to 1/32" increments minimizing waste and simplifying cleanup.
